About the class
In this class we will make two iconic Italian dishes. Neapolitan Pizza and Sicilian Cannoli.
The pizza dough is made from scratch using imported Italian 00 flour, which is the key to achieving that authentic Neapolitan texture. This includes kneading and a slow 24-48 hour fermentation process which allows the dough to rise slowly, developing a light and airy crust that is crisp on the outside yet soft and chewy on the inside.
Once the dough has been prepared we will use a variety of fresh topping ingredients that complement each other beautifully - like rich tomato sauce, sautéed mushrooms adding an earthy flavor, the spicy kick of pepperoni, sweet onions and savory Italian sausage to enhance the overall taste profile.
